Abstract: The article discusses the architectural design and sustainability features of the Populus hotel in downtown Denver, inspired by the self-pruning aspen trees of Colorado. The 13-story high-rise features a unique facade with glass-fiber-reinforced concrete panels and a sustainable design approach, aiming to be carbon positive. The hotel offers a mix of rooms, suites, meeting spaces, and lounges, with a focus on local and upcycled materials in the interior design. Populus is the first of its kind in Denver and sets a precedent for future sustainable buildings in the area. [Extracted from the article]
