Abstract: A new wave of skincare products called neurocosmetics is promising to change your mind, literally, with every use. These products, backed by data and designed with input from neuroscientists, aim to shift or manipulate emotions to improve complexion. One brand, NeuraƩ, has identified specific emotions associated with aging and selected botanical ingredients to address them. Another brand, Edeniste, combines olfactive science with French perfumery to create fragrances that can enhance different emotions. Makeup maven Charlotte Tilbury has also released a collection of perfumes that utilize neuroscience research to elicit specific emotions. The connection between scent and emotions is well-established, and these products aim to harness that power to improve well-being. [Extracted from the article]
