Abstract: |
Duvall Decker, an architectural firm based in Jackson, Mississippi, has designed a municipal campus in Springdale, Arkansas that brings together essential services such as the district court, city council chambers, and police department. The campus features a 388-foot-long corridor that connects the different departmental wings and creates a sense of individual importance for visitors. The project, which cost $40.6 million, prioritized functionality, practicality, and affordability, using materials like brick, steel, and concrete. Despite delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the campus successfully integrates multiple entities while maintaining a sense of approachability and community service. [Extracted from the article] |
