Abstract: A bird flu virus has been spreading among dairy cows in the US, but public health experts are still unsure of how it is spreading. Early evidence suggests that contaminated milking equipment may be a factor. The virus may be transmitted through respiratory droplets or through raw milk, which can contain high concentrations of the virus. However, more research is needed to confirm these findings and to identify other potential pathways of transmission. The US Department of Agriculture is offering compensation to dairy farmers to encourage increased surveillance and testing. [Extracted from the article]
