Abstract: |
Sam Privett, also known as "Booger Red," was a legendary bronc rider in Texas during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Despite a disfiguring accident, Privett became a skilled horse breaker and rodeo competitor, eventually starting his own Wild West show. He mentored a young protégé named Booger Red Jr. and was known for his riding skills and toughness. Privett retired in 1924 but made one last memorable ride before his death. He was buried in Oklahoma and was inducted into the National Rodeo Hall of Fame in 1975. [Extracted from the article] |
