Abstract: The article discusses the changing dynamics of Iraq's relations with the West and the need for a new approach. It highlights the request by Baghdad to cease operations of the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) and the closure of internally displaced persons (IDP) camps. The article also mentions the ongoing threat of ISIS and the limited capacity of Iraq's security forces without coalition support. It recommends that the West focus on bilateral security partnerships, continue cooperation on post-ISIS stabilization efforts, work closely with regional partners, and carefully monitor Iraq's political arena.
