| More Details: | In this paper, some elements resulting from the development of neurology and its re-approach from neuroethics are analyzed, in order to examine their repercussion on the anthropological assumptions of some of the contemporary political projects. It is argued that the elements provided by pseudoscientific studies, such as brain plasticity, the neurobiological development of emotions and the issue of empathy from mirror neurons, imply the need to reformulate the anthropological presuppositions of political liberalism, to achieve a more comprehensive approach to the subject of contemporary politics. |
