More Details: Given that the traditional adsorption material is difficult to be recycled, the efficient and easy-to-recyclable magnetic biomass activated carbon was prepared by impregnation-calcination process with coconut shell as raw material. The obtained materials were characterized by XRD, SEM and specific surface area analysis etc. The effect of the mass ratio of metal salt and coconut shell on the adsorption performance of methylene blue was studied. The results show that when the mass ratio of metal salt to coconut shell is 1∶2, the magnetic activated carbon has mesoporous structure with a larger specific surface area and a larger adsorption capacity for methylene blue. The adsorption efficiency can still reach more than 90% after repeatedly used for 7 times. The material can be separated from the solution by the external magnetic field, and it is easy to be recycled.
