More Details: Results of research work concerning the assesse of climate, bioclimate type and growing season length of eastern Danube Delta area are reported. Data from Sulina meteorological station during the period 1961-1990 were analyzed and processed on a monthly basis for computing climate and bioclimate indices, and climate diagrams were constructed in order to evaluate eastern Danube Delta area. This area has a semiarid climate and according to Rivas-Martinez Bioclimatic Classification System has a Mediterranean pluviseasonal continental bioclimate subtype. The thermal growing season length was determined based on 5° C threshold for the second half of 20th century. The mean length of growing season was 254 days, with start day on 20 March and average date of ending on 28 November.
