More Details: In the Italian literary panorama, Gianni Celati occupies a complex interstitial space between fiction and field investigation. His significant narratives dedicated to the Po landscape has become the symbol of an ethnographic research, in which the author has chosen to play the role of a simple ‘mediator of stories’ to return the ‘hearsay’ of people. This paper intends to offer two different geographical readings relating to these writings, recalling both the humanistic and territorialist approach of geography. The final goal is twofold: on the one hand to understand how the territory was perceived by the author and on the other to identify the territorialization process inherent in the tales themselves.
