| Abstract: |
A new species of Drymonia(Gesneriaceae, Columneinae) is described from Ecuador. A descriptive and photographic overview of four Drymoniafruit types is provided to facilitate future documentation of Drymoniafruit structure and dehiscence. Drymonia peponiferadiffers from other species by the presence of fruits with tardily dehiscent endocarps and calyx lobes pilose, deeply serrate to pinnatifid, with each pinna reflexed and undulate. |
