| Abstract: |
Beyond just an history endeavour upon the martial arts beginning in our country, and considering that quite often in several books and journals the events and the people involved in the first steps of martial arts sport feature activities are ill-shapen described due to a „regional” congeniality, and meantime in flagrant contradiction with the historical truth, the authors wished to respect the authenticity of the information. This paper presents a brief review of the very rich reference amassed during the years by one of the authors (V.Gr. Laşcu), with the pristine aim to offer to all interested readers the basic information relative to first undertaking to promote different branches of japanese martial arts in our country.
