Abstract: The article presents a study which discusses the neuroprotective effect of 8-hydroxy-2-(di-n-propylamino)tetralin (8-OH-DPAT) for the treatment of traumatic brain injury among rat models. Topics include the reduction of neural cell apoptosis, the caspase-3 and Bax protein expression, and the development of mild hypothermia in rats with diffuse axonal injury.
