| Abstract: | The author discusses the psychology of martial arts. He points out that aggression in martial artists is personal and that the solution is to look for answers in a person's history. He cites Sigmund Freud's theory of life instinct which is about the irreducible urge to survive, build things, reproduce and create art and the death instinct which is about releasing the energy as aggression toward others to reduce one's psychic tension. |
