Abstract: A study conducted on Polish adolescents aged 13-17 in 2018 and 2022 found a significant decrease in average health literacy scores and an increase in the number of students with low health literacy. Various factors such as gender, age, place of residence, family affluence, self-rated health, and chronic conditions were identified as influencing health literacy levels. The study emphasized the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on health literacy and recommended tailored health literacy programs in schools to address disparities among students. Further research is suggested to explore additional determinants of health literacy and local differences in educational settings. The text delves into the relationship between health literacy, academic achievement, and mental health in adolescents across different contexts, highlighting the importance of tailored health literacy programs in schools to address disparities among students.
