Abstract: Individuals with problematic substance use, often have co-occurring mental health problems. However, access to evidence-based treatment is often difficult. Within a problematic substance use service in South London, it was found that there were some difficulties in accessing the in-house psychology team. To support equitable access to psychology, a drop-in psychology clinic was implemented. Despite some teething problems, the drop-in clinic is showing early promise that it can facilitate access for clients who were previously being missed in the psychology offer. Reflections are offered on the implementation of this clinic and ideas for future development of the clinic discussed.. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
