Abstract: |
A study conducted in a tertiary care center in Trivandrum, India, examined the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the uptake of the influenza vaccine. The study found that there was an increased acceptance of the influenza vaccine after the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic, despite the fact that it is not given free of cost in India. The high literacy level in the region may have contributed to the increased vaccine acceptance. The study suggests that making the influenza vaccine more affordable or free could further increase its acceptance and reduce healthcare spending. [Extracted from the article] |
