The text is a review of the book "History of the German Archaeological Institute of Madrid," which analyzes the research conducted by German archaeologists in the Iberian Peninsula during the Roman and medieval periods. The book highlights the Spanish translation of H. Schlunk's thesis on ornamentation in Spain during the Visigothic period. It also mentions fundamental milestones for the study of the Roman period in Spain, such as the investigations in Munigua and Centcelles, and the presence of German archaeology in Portugal. In addition, topics such as the archaeological study of historical buildings, Roman sculpture in Hispania, Hispano-Roman mining, and German late antique and medieval archaeology in Spain are addressed. The text presents works and analyses carried out by researchers from the German Archaeological Institute of Madrid in relation to the archaeology of Late Antiquity in Spain, highlighting H. El texto es una reseña del libro "Historia del Instituto Arqueológico Alemán de Madrid", que analiza la investigación realizada por arqueólogos alemanes en la península ibérica durante las épocas romana y medieval. El libro destaca la traducción al español de la tesis de H. Schlunk sobre la ornamentación en España durante la época visigoda. También se mencionan hitos fundamentales para el estudio del periodo romano en España, como las investigaciones en Munigua y Centcelles, y la presencia de la arqueología alemana en Portugal. Además, se abordan temas como el estudio arqueológico de edificios históricos, la escultura romana en Hispania, la minería hispanorromana y la arqueología tardoantigua y medieval alemana en España.
