Abstract: This article presents the findings of a study on the mechanical behavior of zirconia infrastructures used in dental prostheses. The study compared different designs of zirconia copings and found that samples with modified copings exhibited higher flexural strength and were more rigid compared to samples with thinner copings. The authors suggest that incorporating modified zirconia copings could enhance the fracture resistance of zirconia infrastructures and provide better support for veneering ceramic. However, the study has limitations, such as a small sample size and the absence of statistical analysis. Overall, the findings suggest that modified zirconia copings have the potential to improve the mechanical strength of dental prostheses. [Extracted from the article]
