Abstract: Malignant ascites is one of the common complications in patients with advanced tumors. The malignant ascites has the characteristics of rapid increase of effusion and easy repetition after liquid extraction. In clinic, the spleen and kidney deficiency, and stagnation of the dampness pathogen are the main disease mechanism of this disease in traditional Chinese medicine. The key points of pattern differentiation are the cold and heat. The therapeutic principle of this disease is to fortify the spleen and warm yang, as well as rectify qi and remove dampness. Application of acupuncture combined with moxibustion on Chinese medicinal therapy has better curative effect in treating the malignant ascites. The therapy provides a new idea for the clinical treatment of malignant ascites. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
