The article focuses on the use of cloud-based application platforms and web-based rapid development tools in startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It says that cloud applications enable citizen developers to develop an application by getting a server and installing an operating system (OS). It discusses the three types of citizen developers such as the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) Projects, departmental solutions and the domain Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). |
