Abstract: |
One in three physicians will experience a lawsuit during their career, and sometimes more than one during their professional life. Treating litigation as a condition of medical practice is wise and requires the same approach as other professional hurdles. This article offers recommendations on maintaining a healthy balance of life and career when faced with the stress of litigation, and guidance on navigating the process. One incident may not define a physician’s professional life, but should a legal hurdle present itself, physician leaders would benefit from the information outlined here. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
