Abstract (English): This paper shows determination by measurement of optimal damping weight mass and position for handles vibration minimization of engine line mower (trimmer). Free inertial forces caused by the mower engine operation cause mower main rod vibrations as an elastic body. The rod vibrations cause mower head and handles vibrations. The handles vibrations present a problem for human health with unpleasant side-effects in the nervous system (burning sensation) or permanent nerve damage. The measuring setup consists of engine mower suspended by ropes by the handles and the belt hook attachment points by the rigid surroundings and added rigidly connected masses to the rod. The mower used has handles on a tube shaped as the letter "U". Weights have been fixed also to the tubes by steel rings. The measurement has been conducted by running the engine at idle, and at 2/3 of full throttle and recording at 60 fps with a camera installed in the iPhone 8plus mobile phone. The recorded motion was then analysed in Kinovea computer application. Kinovea as an output gives kinematics of the chosen point as function of time. Influence of added masses at the mower head and under the handles is visible from comparison of acceleration of handles without the weights and with the weights. This approach gives good guidelines into how much mass and where to attach to maximally dampen the handles vibration as much as possible using a simple test setup and equipment. A field measurement in operation suspended on a human operator was conducted, and the influence of weights subjectively assessed by the Borg scale. Conclusion arising from the measurements is that the best weight mass and position are 0,5 kg under each handle for maximal damping of the handle's vibrations with acceptable increase in total mass of mower. Abstract (Croatian): U ovom radu prikazano je određivanje mjerenjem optimalnog položaja i mase utega za prigušenje vibracija na ručkama ručne motorne kosilice s polimernom niti (trimera). Slobodne inercijske sile zbog rada motora kosilice uzrokuju vibracije tijela (štapa) kosilice kao elastičnog tijela (savitljivog štapa). Vibracije štapa uzrokuju vibracije glave kosilice i vibracije ručki. Vibracije ručki predstavljaju problem za ljudsko zdravlje koje mogu uzrokovati neugodne nuspojave u živčanom sustavu (osjećaj žarenja) ili trajna oštećenja živaca. Mjerni postav sastoji se od motorne kosilice ovješene užetima za ručke i na mjestima prihvata remena te dodanim utezima kruto spojenim na cijev kosilice. Korištena je kosilica s ručkama na cijevi u obliku slova "U". Utezi su kruto spojene i ispod ručki na njihove cijevi čeličnim obujmicama. Mjerenje je provedeno ubrzanim snimanjem kamerom sa 60 fps (frames per second) ugrađenom u IPhone 8 plus te analizom snimki pomoću računalnog programa Kinovea. Kinovea kao izlaz daje kinematiku odabranih točaka, ručki, kao funkciju vremena. Mjerenje je provedeno na minimalnoj brzini vrtnje motora u praznom hodu, i na oko dvije trećine najveće brzine vrtnje motora. Na temelju analize ubrzanja ručki kosilice bez utega uspoređene s ubrzanjem ručki s dodanim utezima vidljiv je utjecaj dodanih masa na odabrana mjesta uz glavu i ispod ručke kosilice. Ovakav pristup daje dobre smjernice koliko mase i gdje staviti kako bi se vibracije na ručkama prigušile u najvećoj mjeri primjenom jednostavnog mjernog postava i opreme. Provedeno je i mjerenje u radu kosilice oslonjene na čovjeka te subjektivno procijenjen utjecaj utega prema Borgovoj skali. Zaključak mjerenja je da je najbolje staviti utege oko 0,5 kg ispod svake ručke zbog najboljeg prigušenja poprečnih vibracija na ručkama, s prihvatljivim povećanjem ukupne mase kosilice.
