Abstract: The problem of violations against public order and peace is a huge range that consists of the daily functioning, living and working of citizens, safety and security, free movement in public places, free use of public facilities, residential and other buildings, social morality, as well as the continuous performance of official duties by the competent state authorities. Offenses against public order and peace are almost daily both in the territory of the entire Republic of North Macedonia and in the Departments of Internal Affairs. For their diversity, frequency, number, degree of injury, gender and age, criminal sanctions are usually imposed on the perpetrators, witnesses are precisely the competent state authorities, who are obliged to act during the processing of each committed offense, as well as to undertake a series of preventive activities. The purpose of the research is to provide citizens with a clear and essential definition of public order and peace and offenses against public order and peace, namely the legal framework, while with the application of the statistical method, an analysis of violations against public order and peace in the region will be made of the Sector for Internal Affairs - Tetovo, where according to the official data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is observed that the number of misdemeanors and their perpetrators is increasing.
