Abstract: The article focuses on a rare case of dermatomyositis (DM) as a paraneoplastic syndrome masking the diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in the maxilla. Topics include the clinical presentation of DM, its association with malignancy, particularly head and neck cancers, and the diagnostic and treatment approach for this atypical manifestation.
