Abstract: The article "Sociodemographic Factors Associated with Readmission after Pituitary Adenoma Resection" published in the Journal of Neurological Surgery. Part B. Skull Base explores the impact of race, socioeconomic status, and medical comorbidities on emergency room readmission within 90 days of pituitary surgery. The study found that black race was significantly associated with a higher likelihood of readmission, while age, sex, BMI, and the number of medical comorbidities were not. Further research is needed to understand the risk factors contributing to higher readmission rates for black patients. [Extracted from the article]
