The concept of time in narratology has been extensively examined, particularly through Gérard Genette's theoretical contributions, which offer a comprehensive framework. In Turkish narratology literature, several analyses have utilized Genette's model. However, with the rise of post-classical narratology, certain limitations and gaps in Genette's approach have been highlighted, leading to new developments. In this context, Mieke Bal's work, focusing on the reception and aesthetic dimensions of narrative, stands out. This article applies the time theories of Genette and Bal to Tarık Buğra's short story "Havuçlu Pilav Meselesi" (The Carrot Pilaf Affair), aiming to analyze the author's use of time and its impact on the narrative's meaning. By examining temporal shifts and anachronies, the study explores how time contributes to the narrative's dramatic structure, showcasing a post-classical narratological reading. Combining Genette's systematic categories with Bal's flexible methods, the study investigates the effects of narrative time on the reader's experience. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

Anlatıbilimde zaman kavramı, özellikle Gérard Genette'in teorik katkılarıyla kapsamlı bir çerçeveye oturtulmuş ve Türkçe literatürde bu teoriden yararlanarak çeşitli analizler yapılmıştır. Post-klasik anlatıbilimin gelişimi, Genette'in modelindeki eksiklikleri ortaya koymuş ve yeni yaklaşımların gelişmesine zemin hazırlamıştır. Bu bağlamda, Mieke Bal'ın anlatının alımlanma sürecine odaklanan çalışmaları öne çıkmaktadır. Bu makale, Genette ve Mieke Bal'ın zaman teorilerini Tarık Buğra'nın "Havuçlu Pilav Meselesi" adlı öyküsüne uygulayarak, yazarın zaman kullanımını analiz etmeyi ve bu kullanımın metnin anlam dünyasındaki etkilerini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmada, öyküdeki zaman kaymaları ve anakronik yapıların analiz edilmesiyle, zaman kullanımının öykünün dramatik yapısına katkıları ele alınmakta ve post-klasik anlatıbilimin anlatılara yaklaşım biçimi örneklendirilmektedir. Genette'in sistematik kategorileri ile Bal'ın daha esnek ve kapsamlı analiz yöntemlerinin bir arada kullanıldığı bu araştırma, öykünün zamansal yapısının okurun alımlama sürecini nasıl etki etkilediğini ortaya koymayı hedeflemekte ve anlatı zamanının metin analizindeki işlevine dair yeni bir bakış açısı sunmaktadır.
