Abstract: The article offers suggestions on sexual history-taking and screening for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and asexual (LGBTQIA+) individuals experiencing disparities related to healthcare access and outcomes in the U.S. Topics include some of the factors attributed to health disparities faced by the LGBTQIA+ community such as discrimination and the five Ps framework for sexual health history taking such as partners and practices.
