Abstract: |
Painting has played an important role in the expression of scientific findings and experiences in different civilizations and cultures. When writing was not able to express the content correctly, traditional medicine scholars incorporated their ideas into pictures and paintings that, although elementary, were used as illustrations of traditional medicine information at the time. There are very few of these traditional medical images left in books and manuscripts, many of which have been lost over the years due to various social upheavals. In this study, descriptive-analytical and library research methods were used to collect information and the objective of this research was to review the images and painting in traditional medical manuscripts that have been mentioned in different resources.
