Abstract: |
This article discusses a case of an elderly man with Parkinson's disease who developed an extensive annular petechial rash on his lower limbs, trunk, and face after starting a new medication. The rash was diagnosed as Purpura annularis telangiectoides of Majocchi (PATM), a subtype of pigmented purpuric dermatoses. PATM is a rare condition that typically affects children and young females, and its exact cause is unknown. Treatment options for PATM include topical agents, oral medications, phototherapy, and laser therapy. [Extracted from the article] |
