Abstract: The article discusses the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling network and its role in human health and diseases. Dysregulation of this pathway is associated with various diseases, including cancer, infections, inflammation, and neurological, metabolic, and cardiovascular disorders. The article emphasizes the importance of understanding this signaling network to develop targeted therapies for conditions like cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, inflammation, autoimmune diseases, obesity, and diabetes. Specific studies are mentioned that investigate the role of this pathway in diseases such as colorectal cancer, psoriasis, breast cancer, progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy, and osteonecrosis of the femoral head.
