Abstract: This article, titled "Maternal characteristics associated with Crown–rump length in first trimester scan," explores the relationship between maternal characteristics and the measurement of Crown–rump length (CRL) during the first trimester of pregnancy. The study included 2350 pregnant women who underwent a first trimester scan in two different fetomaternal centers in Central Greece over a 10-year period. The results showed a positive correlation between CRL and maternal age and height, indicating that increasing age and height were associated with increased CRL values. However, there was no significant association between maternal Body Mass Index (BMI) and CRL. The findings suggest that understanding these factors can help obstetricians better understand growth patterns in early pregnancy. [Extracted from the article]
