Abstract: The article presents a study by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on the emergency visits due to mental health conditions (MHC), drug overdoses, and suicide-related behaviors among adolescents in the country from January 2019 to February 2023. Also cited are the differences with respect to sex in said cases and the recommendations to address the issue like early identification and evidence-based prevention programs.
