Abstract: A case study is presented of a 5‑year‑old boy with complaints of fever, abnormal behavior and seizures since 1 month. Electroencephalogram showed diffuse slow background activity, and magnetic resonance imaging brain showed altered signal intensity in subcortical region of right parietal lobe. He was treated for subacute sclerosing panencephalits mimicking anti‑NMDA receptor encephalitis.
