The article focuses on the desensitization in a child with delayed cotrimoxazole hypersensitivity using sulfonamides. Topics discussed include desensitization protocols to cotrimoxazole; cotrimoxazole in immunocompetent subjects with a history of sulfonamide adverse drug reaction; and eosinophilia seen in our patient could have been secondary to his atopic history. |
