Abstract (English): Objective: This study was conducted to examine the relationship between emotional reactivity and job satisfaction among healthcare professionals. Material and Methods: This cross-sectional and relational study was conducted among healthcare professionals working in public hospitals in two cities in the south of Türkiye. The study was conducted with 655 healthcare workers between 01.09.2022 and 15.10.2022 using the snowball sampling method, which is a non-probability sampling method. Data were collected using the "Personal Information Form, Emotional Reactivity Scale, and Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale". Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis-H, and Spearman correlation analyses were used in the evaluation of the data. Results: It was determined that 46.9% of healthcare workers were aged between 20-30, 59.4% were female, 75.3% were married, 64.3% had income equal to their expenses, 64.7% were nurses, 37.3% had been working for 1-5 years, 33.4% worked in internal clinics, 49.5% were satisfied with their jobs, 87.6% chose their profession willingly, and 85.8% worked in shifts. The average total scores of the healthcare workers from the Emotional Reactivity Scale and the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale were 39.68±8.23 and 58.42±15.95, respectively. There was a moderate negative correlation between the total scores of the Emotional Reactivity Scale and the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale (r=-0.464, p=<0.001). A positive moderate correlation was found between the "psychological resilience" sub-dimension of the Emotional Reactivity Scale and the total of the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale (r=0.431, p=<0.001). Conclusion: This study reveals that healthcare professionals generally possess a moderate level of emotional reactivity and job satisfaction. Additionally, it has been found that healthcare professionals exhibiting high emotional reactivity have lower job satisfaction. These findings suggest a need for supportive strategies concerning emotional awareness and emotion regulation to enhance job satisfaction among healthcare professionals. More specifically, it is believed that trainings aimed at improving emotional awareness, regulating emotions, and fostering psychological resilience could be effective. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Turkish): Amaç: Bu araştırma, sağlık çalışanlarında duygusal tepkisellik ve iş doyumu arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
