The article presents the case of a 34-year-old male who was rushed to a hospital due to third episode of debilitating myositis following a sore throat to describe an immunologically mediated streptococcal disease complication. Topics include such complications as poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis, erythema nodosum, and acute rheumatic fever and the recorded cases of poststreptococcal polymyalgia and myositis with such symptoms as muscle swelling and incapacitating limb pain. |
