Abstract: Bone metastases below the knee are rare, but when they occur they often present challenges to the patient's mobility and ability to perform activities of daily living. We report the case of a 54-year-old woman who presented with tibial and lung metastases at the time of her diagnosis of an endometrial adenocarcinoma. The patient was treated with radiation therapy, surgery to stabilize the tibia, and systemic chemotherapy. Although treatment was initially effective in palliating symptoms, at the time of the most recent follow-up, 19 months after her initial diagnosis, the patient's pain had returned to her left tibia. Because of the limited number of similar cases reported in the literature, the prognosis for patients with endometrial carcinoma presenting with below-the-knee bone metastases is not well understood.
