Abstract: Due to improper maintenance of roads leads to Potholes. When a continuous movement of a vehicle detected on the same highway make that into damage and poor condition. These lousy quality roads will cause severe damage to the cars regarding tyres and the shock absorbers, and most important thing is the accidents which caused due to this. A system called Pothole Detection System which detects holes on roads or uneven roads. So, this work helps in maintaining the streets in excellent condition. Here two sensors are used. Accelerometer and vibration sensor used to detect holes in the location of roads through the movement of the vehicle. Also, GPS module is present which stores the location of the pothole and also records the longitude and latitude values of the particular area. By using IOT technology pothole location information is updated pothole the web server efficiently. This information is right to use by, the road transport authorities, and they can alert the corresponding officials and take necessary actions to repair the road. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
